An article in Private Eye for 19 August-1 September 2016 shows that news is spreading.
In response to a Freedom of Information request, the Forestry Commission have provided figures for the cost of the project. Expenditure to date is £256,657.65 and the estimated total cost of the project is currently £1.5 million.
