This week’s Forest Journal (28 July 2016) has a front-page article on the proposed “restoration” of Latchmore Brook, quoting our MP, Sir Desmond Swayne, who said “Vandalism is the word that comes to my mind”.
The Latchmore Planning Application and Environmental Impact Assessment are now on the NPA website and you can see them by going to http://publicaccess.newforestnpa.gov.uk/online-applications/. At the foot of the form, type in the number of the Application (16/00571) and click Search.
On 20 July Fiona Macdonald made a Presentment to the Verderers’ Court regarding the threat to fish and other aquatic creatures imposed by impaired water quality after stream “restorations”.
